Job Description

  • Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Leader West Africa will demonstrate leadership and accountability of business EHS priorities, EHS programs, and EHS processes for the Sales and Service organization in the region, including Indirect Channel Partner.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain organization-specific EHS programs and processes including (but not limited to) Leadership and accountability, Regulatory compliance, EHS process, Emergency preparedness and fire protection, Risk assessments and safe working procedures for all types of activities, Safety Defenses (e.g. ergonomics, motor vehicle, Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO), Exposure Defense (e.g. medical, radiation, Industrial Hygiene, chemical), Hazardous waste management, Contractor safety, Preventive Maintenance, Distributed Workforce and crisis management.
  • Implement and drive EHS strategy given by regional EHS leader
  • Ensure 100% compliance with applicable local regulatory requirements and maintain compliance framework up to date
  • Apply and lead company EHS framework program as well as local regulatory requirements.
  • Lead certain assigned aspects (technical, regulatory/third party interface, reporting, permitting, compliance, financial, administrative, etc.) of projects and permits in compliance with relevant regulatory programs and corporate policies.
  • Provide EHS technical leadership, issue resolution, and input to local management
  • Evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks and develop appropriate corrective-action plans and budgets to address deficiencies in comparison to regulations and internal policy/protocol.
  • Participate in EHS compliance and program audits
  • Drive improvements in EHS culture, awareness, and accountability
  • Plan and conduct EHS training; coach EHS element owners to promote ownership and help them discharge their duties
  • Conduct incident/accident investigations and develop corrective and preventative action plans Maintain EHS expertise to provide technical and regulatory support to Operations team; proactively engage stakeholders on-site to ensure EHS compliance

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably in Chemical, Environmental, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical / Electronic from an accredited University
  • Minimum 6 years experience in Environment, Health & Safety
  • Regulatory knowledge and experience working with different African regulations covering occupational health, process safety, chemical management, emergency preparedness, property transfer, site investigation, environmental requirements, waste management, contamination and capable of learning requirements and applying this experience through the countries
  • Proven project and program management skills
  • Must have used EHS systems like GENSUITE
  • Fluent in English (Portuguese or French would be an added advantage)
  • Professional certifications (NEBOSH, IEMA, etc).
  • Experience managing projects and/or EHS compliance.
  • Able to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities and make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information.

  • The Regional Pricing & Forecasting Leader for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) will support the Commercial & Sales teams for Gas Power Services with the development & implementation of effective pricing & customer strategies to drive profitable growth.
  • You will be responsible for driving the strategy around pricing and competitive intelligence for Gas Turbine Outages to drive aftermarket parts, services, repairs, and performance upgrade packages. In addition, you will work with commercial team on long term service agreements (LTSAs)

Job Description

  • The Regional Pricing & Forecasting Leader will partner with the regional Sales, Commercial Ops, Services, and Engineering teams to deliver insights and drive decision making on critical customer deals that drive margin expansion for region.
  • Partner with and guide the region commercial leadership team to establish business and customer segmented specific pricing strategies that are in line with margin growth.
  • In addition, you will own gas turbine outage forecast strategy that will assist the team in developing a coherent and aligned price strategy for both transactional and LTSA bids.

Deliver business pricing targets through focused pricing execution:

  • Be the region’s Gas Power Services pricing expert and enable effective pricing strategies by partnering with the global pricing team and the region’s Commercial and Services teams to apply segmented and differentiated price actions.
  • Partner with Gas Power Services and EMEA Pole pricing leaders to establish regional price desk with clear rules, process and tools including deal evaluation templates.
  • Lead weekly deal reviews with business leadership, sales, and marketing. Pull together appropriate qualitative and quantitative data for the review. Recommend & approve price adjustments to maximize value and win rate through the Price DOA process.
  • Develop monitoring, tracking, and reporting capabilities of price desk results.
  • Partner with global pricing segment leaders to recommend and implement optimal pricing strategies (customer segmentation, go-to market models, services level, and deal strategies) that are specific to various customer segments and profit pools within the lines of businesses.
  • Be the region pricing thought leader.  Train commercial, marketing, and product management resource on value-based pricing strategies.  Develop strategies to move away from margin or cost-plus pricing strategies.

Drive robust competitive intelligence strategies and processes:

  • Lead the region’s competitive intelligence analysis efforts through VOC and Win Loss analysis. Utilize this information to develop insights and ultimately drive corrective strategic, process and tools actions.  Specifically, identify root causes for under-performing product segments, and design a business case to recover market share.
  • Partner with global marketing and product management to understand competitive position, region dynamics and customer value. Support strategic roadmap process such as S2, NPI and Blueprint efforts.

  • The Gas Turbine Product Service Senior Engineer will provide technical guidance and support of Gas Turbine customers and to GE.

  • Provide technical expertise to the Gas Turbine Product Service engineering team leading root cause investigations and daily technical case support across all GE heavy duty frame sizes
  • Lead complex, high impact root cause investigations applying engineering techniques and processes to develop solutions and ensuring issues are solved in terms of accuracy, quality, and timeliness to meet customer needs and business goals
  • Lead external communication with customers including the development and introduction of TIL and ETC documentation
